A peak inside the McFarren Manor from “A Place to Belong”

Blurb:
Logan Perry was offered a job caring for an elderly lady a thousand miles from his home in Iowa. Looking for a place to hide, it seems to be the perfect opportunity to escape. So Logan runs to Texas. All he wants is a roof over his head and food in his stomach. So moving into the amazing McFarren Manor he believes is all he needs.

Bradley McFarren is only looking for someone to care for his aging grandmother. Too busy with the family multi-billion dollar real estate firm, he just doesn't have time. With no personal life to speak of, Bradley has kept his heart safe. As long as Gail, his beloved grandmother, is cared for, he thinks it's all he needs.

But what both their hearts truly desire is a place to belong.

So begins the journey of a love that will not be denied; a love bigger than the state of Texas.

The McFarren Manor

This large house was built by Daniel Sean McFarren in the mid 1800’s. The servant’s house shortly thereafter. It has gone through many upgrades and renovations through the years. Today it is a shining example of southern comfort and luxury.

This amazing entry makes a stunning first impression of a house that is magnificent throughout.

Gail is the one who added these glorious pillars. Carved from trees that came from the land the house sits on, there is a “fish” motif around the top of the pillars, depicting the McFarren’s unending faith in God.

Nick-named “the Canopy room” by one of the McFarren grandchildren from times past due to the high center ceiling, the name simply stuck. This is Bradley’s room when he is at the Manor. It boasts a large separate sitting room, a magnificent bathroom and a very private deck.

The most humble of all of the guest bedrooms in McFarren Manor. But it still has its own bathroom and small sitting room although, due to its proximity in the house, there is no access to an outside deck.

One of the soft spots in Bradley’s heart is this warm inviting room. He spent many hours reading and studying in this room while growing up and now he just enjoys spending time here.
All in all, this house is only that, a house. What makes this house a home is the same thing that makes any house a home – love.
