UNTIL YOU
Did you miss this one?
Blurb:
Asher has a few issues.
His older brother amassed a huge gambling dept that landed him in the hospital,
thanks to a couple of thugs, his immediate boss at the club where he works is
out for revenge, what for, Asher has no clue, and the owner of the club, the wealthy
Max Tyler, is after his ass – literally.
Asher is also attracted
to Max, but the same people who put his brother in the hospital also want Max
Tyler dead. Not only that, but they are blackmailing Asher into helping with
the heinous plot. Do as they say or his brother will die.
But Max Tyler is not so
easily defeated, by thugs or a reluctant Asher. Lust at first sight, Max always
gets what he wants and he wants Asher, even if it kills him.
And it just might.
NEW EXCERPT
About halfway through his
shift, Asher noticed a man standing against the wall toward the back of the
room. Tall and dark, the shadows hid most of his face, but his posture screamed
confidence. Asher couldn't tell the color, but the exquisitely tailored suit
the man had on was definitely not off any rack. The man's gaze sent shivers
down Asher's back, making it impossible to ignore him. Was he looking at him?
Asher didn't understand why he suddenly felt so self-conscious. He darted quick
looks back every time he could just to see if the guy was still there,
watching.
But honestly how much
sense did that really make? The guy couldn't be watching him. Except every
glance Asher hazarded in the man's direction told him differently. He also
noticed the man was continually approached by people. Once even by Griffin
himself, but each one was quickly waved off, and the man would be standing
alone again. Asher grinned when he thought of Griffin's sharp nose going up in
the air right before he seemed to stomp away from the mysterious man. He
wondered briefly if they knew each other. Probably not.
Asher considered
approaching the man, offering a drink or menu, but, with the total brush-off he
was giving to everyone else, he quickly dismissed the idea. Besides, if he had
needed anything, Griffin would have taken care of it. It was quite obvious the
man simply wanted to be left alone. But even after some time had passed, Asher
still noticed that the man never really moved from his place against the wall.
And continued to stare at
Asher.
How strange.
"Earth to
Asher." Rogan rapped on the bar with his knuckles.
Asher startled and looked
up. "What?"
"What do you mean,
what? You need something? Come on. I'm busy. What's got you staring off into
space?"
"N-nothing.
Just…" He sighed and turned to face the bar. "Rogan, do you see that
guy leaning on the wall over there near the door? Who is he?"
Rogan looked up, then
around. "Where? I don't see anyone leaning against a wall."
Asher turned to where the
man was standing, but Rogan was right. He was gone. How very strange.
"Huh. Never mind. He's gone."
"Good. Now you can
go back to work. What do you want?"

New Guest Post for V.L. Locey's "Two Man Advantage"
4 Flame Gay Erotic Hockey Romance
Blurb: Victor Kalinski, all-star forward for the Boston Barracudas, is
one of the biggest jerks in professional hockey. Before long his aggressive
attitude gets him shipped off to play in the minor leagues.
Furious, he takes
to the ice with equal amounts of skill and scathing sarcasm, which doesn’t win
him any friends—except for good-natured alternate captain Daniel Arou. He won’t
take any of Vic’s crap, and he won’t take no for an answer.
But Vic’s
troublemaking is pulling his career one way while Dan’s talent is pushing his
in the other. However much they scorch the sheets, they might soon be separated
by more than Vic’s fear of being hurt.
Inside Scoop:
This book contains scorching gay sex and a heaping helping of
no-holds-barred snark between hot hockey heroes who don’t pull their punches.
A
Romantica® gay erotic romance from
Ellora’s Cave
R
(Explicit Language, Gay Sexual Sitautions):
I was
soaping up my head when I heard the bathroom door squeak. I froze, hands on my
head, shampoo foam sneaking down my temples.
“Hey, Kalinski? I’m sorry if I touched a sore
spot, okay?”
There I stood, like a carving of the Roman shampoo god
Dandrufficus, silent and stony. I was aching for something but didn’t know
what.
No. That’s a
miserable-ass lie. I ached to see Arou pull back the thin shower curtain, step
over the side of the tub and kiss me into forgetting my tenth birthday…and my
eleventh…and my fourteenth as well. I cleared my throat.
“Yeah,
whatever,” I said loudly enough to be heard over the rushing water. The plastic
curtain rustled when he closed the door. My fingers slipped from my head to
hang by my thighs. Eyes closed, I stepped forward. The stream beat down on my
head, filling my ears with water and bubbles. I could still hear Dan just on
the other side of the shower curtain. My shoulder muscles tensed.
“I tend to
let my mouth run away with me sometimes, you know?”
“Yeah, I
know how that goes."
Taking a
step back, I glanced at the dark form outside the curtain. He must be lounging
on the small sink. There wasn’t room for two men in here, especially me and
Daniel Arou. I turned to let the water beat the tension from my upper back.
“I didn’t
mean any harm,” Dan said. I placed my hands on the tiles, not even seeing the
mildew on the grout. Why the fuck was this man apologizing? “I’m sorry if your
childhood was rough.”
Yep, that
was the clincher. I threw the curtain to the right so hard the old, brittle
plastic tore off several of the rusty metallic shower rings. Dan lifted his
head quickly from his study of his feet.
“You don’t
know shit about me or my childhood. For your information, asscrack, what I said
was a joke!” I snarled, pointing a finger at him.
He stared at
me. Water was dripping from my finger to the floor. His eyes betrayed him. I
saw the long, hungry look. My accusatory digit fluttered downward. My cock
began to rise to take my pointy-finger’s place. Dan grew slightly pale, mumbled
something, then tripped over his large feet out the bathroom door.
I exited the
shower. Just stepped out. Left the water running, wetting the floor, and
followed the stupid shit. Dan was facing the front door, his back as stiff as
my prick.
“I was not
checking you out,” he said through clenched teeth.
I stood
about a foot behind him, my dick at attention.
“Yeah, you
were,” I said. A horn blew outside in the parking lot. A round of male guffaws
followed. My wet skin was starting to get chilly. The heater in the room was
locked at fifty-five. “I told you I’m not gay.”
“Neither am
I,” he said rapidly. Too rapidly.
Yeah, I knew
how this was going to go. I had been hiding my bisexuality since I was old
enough to like looking at other guys’ packages in the high school locker room.
While things were changing for LGBT players, a ton of us were still pretending.
“That’s too bad,” I said, taking a step closer to him.
The floor creaked. He sucked in a short breath. His gasp made me smile. “Seems
a gay dude and a bi guy in the same room could be honest with each other at the
very least.”
That
announcement brought the sexy little shit around in a hurry. One dark eyebrow
was climbing up his forehead. Those startlingly blue eyes dropped downward. He
licked his bottom lip. My cock began to weep.
“You’re bi?”
“Yeah, and
right now I would like nothing better than to jack you up against that dresser
and kiss you into a state of delirium.”
Dan wet his
lips again. Either he was trying to turn me on, which was a wasted effort given
how hard my dick was for the man, or it was a nervous tic. Whatever, it was
making me crazy. I rolled my hands into fists to keep them from reaching for
him.
“Look,
stubby, I need a reply here,” I groaned a minute later. Maybe I had misread his
signals. Fuck knows I do it often enough with chicks. Guys are usually less
confusing, but not always. “If you’re not up for getting laid, speak up now and
I’ll go back into the shower, take care of this boner, then pretend this little
conversation never took place.”
Another horn
blew in the parking lot. Raucous laughter erupted outside our window. The
Cougars were bored. Dan reached behind his back to lock the door. Well.
Fuck. Me. I suddenly felt lightheaded.

Blast from the Past - HOW WEST WAS WON
Did you miss this one?
Blurb:
Jake
is on a much-needed vacation when he receives a desperate call from Alan, his
former boyfriend. Against his better judgment, Jake comes to Alan’s aid. But
when the men become stranded in the middle of nowhere, Alan is determined
to get to town before the sun sets rather than spend the night in the car.
Unfortunately, they have to cut across private property to do it. Since it’s
trespassing, they could get arrested
—or
surrounded by a bunch of cowboys hell bent on teaching the trespassers a
lesson.
Thankfully,
a muscular, stunning cowboy named Colton shows up to save the day. But he’s not
about to let Jake off easy. It seems there are still a few lessons to be
learned, and it looks like they might involve leather, some handcuffs, and a
suspiciously high, padded trunk...
Special Excerpt:
Doug and Rob headed in the direction of Jake’s car,
and Mark moved his horse closer to Alan. “You’ll have to ride on my horse, Mr.
Gregory. Have you ever ridden on a horse?”
“Fuck, no! And I’m not riding on a horse!”
Mark looked back to Colton, who once again raised a
single eyebrow. “It’s getting late, Mr. Gregory. You have one of two choices.
Either ride with Mark to the ranch, where he will take you to the bus
station—in a truck, of course—or he will escort you back to the vehicle where
you will remain for the night. Alone. Which will it be?”
Jake knew Alan would not consider that a choice.
“Fine. I’ll ride that stinky thing. How the hell do I get up there?”
Mark reached down and effortlessly hauled Alan up to
sit behind him. “Hang on.” With that, Mark turned his horse and galloped in the
same direction the others had. Jake smiled when he saw Alan fling his arms
around Mark’s waist and scream, burying his head into Mark’s back. Then Jake
looked back at Colton.
Colton was watching him intently. “Looks like it’s
just you and me…boy.”
“Yes, sir. It does.” Jake raised his chin. “What do
you want me to do?” Once again, Jake could not keep the smirk from his face. He
was begging for another beating, he knew it. Colton was not gay. Several times
he had taken in the man’s groin and there had never been a change. Even with
all the flirting.
“Mr. Harmon, I do believe you are indeed a brat. I may
have to whip that out of you.”
“Yes, sir. You can try, sir.”
“You will have to ride on my horse as well, Mr.
Harmon. Think you can do that?”
Jake looked at the large animal and how high up the
saddle was. For the first time, his heart fluttered and not in a good way. He
watched as Colton swung himself up into that saddle and swallowed hard when
Colton extended his hand, like Mark had done for Alan. “Shit. That’s really
high up there, isn’t it?”
“No fear, Mr. Harmon…Jake. May I call you Jake?”
Jake swallowed again, thinking how fucking sexy it was
that Colton had just said his name, all throaty and rough. “Sure, sir.”
“No fear, Jake. I’ll make sure you don’t fall off.
Trust me.”
Oh yeah. Great words. He reached up and let the big
hand surround his own, then the next thing he knew, he was in the saddle. But
unlike Alan, Jake sat in front of Colton. Colton’s strong arm circled his
waist, pulling Jake tight against the big man’s warm chest.

Excerpts
PG-13
(Mature Language):
One short little shit got my
attention when Lambert told them to try again. He was a dark-haired little
scrapper with a light-sienna complexion, who got into the corners, putting
elbow to nose and lumber to teeth with no remorse until he got the puck free. I
liked his grit. And the way his dark hair hung out from under his lid, flipping
up at the ends. The man had some good flow going on.
His style was good, his eyes
sharp, his stick handling above par and his ankles strong. He was the only one
who had a grasp of what he was supposed to be doing, if you asked me. When he
skated past in pursuit of the puck, I got a glimpse of a round, cute face with
a button nose and lapis lazuli eyes. He executed a perfect side-stop, his plump
mouth drawing up as he looked at me.
“Holy shit, it’s the big bad
boy of Beantown,” he yelled to be heard over the shouts of his teammates. There
was a noticeable Canadian accent when he spoke. He was probably no older than
my twenty-four, if that. He wore the big A on his shoulder, so I knew he was an
alternate captain. Shit, but he had a sexy Elvis Presley mouth. “What’s your
expert opinion on how we’re looking, Kalinski?”
"To quote Reggie Dunlop as
played by Paul Newman in Slapshot,
'Jesus Christ, what a *#*#* nightmare."
He chuckled then skated down
ice. His said his last name was spelled A-R-O-U.
Coach Lambert skated into my
line of sight. I smiled pleasantly.
"What kind of fresh holy
*#*#* hell is this?" Coach asked, coming through the gate and stalking
past me. “Did you think I was kidding when I told you never to darken my door
again, Kalinski?” he asked, throwing the door to his office open.
“You’re going to *#*# the shit
out of those blades,” I pointed out as I lingered in the doorway. Coach Lambert
threw me a blistering look. I didn’t remember him hating me quite this badly.
“But hey, it’s your nutsack Carl will roast over an open fire, not mine.”
“Shut the door, sit down and
keep that toxic *#*#* mouth of yours closed.”
I did as he asked. Lambert fell
into a rolling office chair to unlace his skates. The plastic wheels whimpered
at the abuse. His gray eyes drilled into mine as he untied his laces with
short, jerky motions. One skate sailed across the room, hitting the wall with a
sickening thud.
“I can’t believe this is how
the *#*#* repay me for fourteen years of coaching expertise,” Coach snarled,
yanking violently on a hellacious knot in his laces.
“Your team has come in last for
the past two years. I’m not sure you can call that expertise.”
Lambert nearly ripped his foot
off. The skate flew past my left ear and embedded itself a good four inches
into the sheetrock behind me. Slowly shifting my attention from the skate of
doom to Lambert, I gifted him with one of my “I was only kidding” smirks. It
had little to no effect. If anything, the vein right above his left eye thumped
faster.

A Blast from the Past - AMBER MOON
Did you miss this one?
BLURB:
Logan has a past he doesn't want
to talk about. One, that after tonight, he is leaving behind for good. He is
also leaving behind his all-consuming, unrequited love for Ryder. He will drink
the Amber Moon that wise old Solomon has put in front of him and finally walk
into a new future. Maybe even a new love.
But that may not have been what Solomon meant. Maybe Solomon knew something Logan didn't. Like things in Logan's past that can't be left behind. Ryder being one of them. Because Ryder doesn't like the idea of only being in Logan's past, not when he fully intends to be Logan's future.

NEW EXCERPT
Logan took a seat on the far left side, well away from the bartender. Seemed the old man hadn’t seen him come in, but even as he thought it he knew it wasn’t true. The bartender had direct sight of the door, no obstacles to obscure his observance of who came and who went. Not to mention, Logan had the feeling not much, if anything, got by this man.
Logan wasn’t even sure why he was here other than the
overwhelming thought that something was about to happen. He tingled from all
the weirdness this day had brought. But still, here he was, not in panic mode,
sitting and waiting for…
What?
Crap! Was he waiting for Ryder again? That somehow the guy
would track him down after all this time and show up in a bar that wasn’t even
supposed to be here?
He looked down at his hands as he contemplated simply
leaving. He was fooling himself into thinking there was something here, kidding
himself that anything profound could ever happen to him…like love.
“Welcome. My name is Solomon. What can I get for you?”
Logan startled. He hadn’t seen the bartender approach.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to surprise you.”
“No, it’s fine. I…” Logan stared into fathomless eyes as he
sensed them reaching into his very soul. He was spellbound by them. Wrinkles of
age gave the appearance the man was ancient, but even though that wasn’t quite
right, suddenly Logan knew those eyes had seen everything: great pain, immense joy, the war of nations and the
utter peace and trust of a sleeping child; from the grief of total loss to the
delight of having come through the greatest challenge the victor. Absolutely
everything! Maybe even God himself.
Solomon was the reason he was here. Solomon would change it
all.
“What can I get for you?”
Logan was snapped back to cruel reality. Well, this reality, whatever that was. When he
looked back up at Solomon, the eyes were normal.
Of course, they’re
normal, you moron. He’s a bartender, for crying out loud. That’s all. A man who knows drinks not the
depths of my pain and desires. But…damn. “I…I don’t…maybe…”
“An Amber Moon, perhaps?”
“What?” His heart lurched hard enough to cause actual pain.
“I think you were about to ask for
an Amber Moon.”
There was such a
drink? An Amber Moon? This was a
nightmare. Had to be. You couldn’t make shit like this up…could you? “Sure.” Really? I said sure?
“Coming up.”
He watched the man walk away, the man who he thought would
change his life, off to get him an Amber fucking Moon! Now he should run. Run far, far away and never look back.
But he wouldn’t. Somehow he still believed this man knew at
least something. He had to. Why else would he suggest an Amber Moon?

The Door Keeper - Excerpt #2
I was playing around again and did another "cover". These are just about as fun as the videos! Anyway, here's another unedited excerpt along with the video.
Blurb:
Arrain took two
more steps which brought him right into Nick’s personal space. Nick closed his
eyes and breathed in Arrain’s scent. Somehow he had committed it to memory
during that short, almost adolescent, make-out session they had had back in the
alley. And now all he wanted to do was submit to the man who enveloped his very
being in simply being in front of him. But having his eyes closed was not good.
How could he take in the nakedness of the god with his eyes closed? Except when
he did open them his whole field of vision was taken up by Arrain’s eyes. Then
his lips were on his and Arrain’s tongue was pushing through them and into him.
Oh! How could a tongue feel so good? Nick noticed Arrain’s arms circling around
him and pulling him close. Somehow Nick’s arms were already around Arrain’s
neck. When had he done that? Did it matter? Their bodies were pressed together,
chest to chest, groin to groin and wait! What the hell were Nick’s arms doing
up so high? There was naked flesh to fondle and touch and squeeze and places
where his fingers would be oh so happy to go. What’s this towel doing still covering any part of this man? Towels should be outlawed, done away with completely.
Oh! Wonderful
fleshy butt cheeks that obeyed Nick’s hands when he moved them and kneaded them and
pushed his digits down between them. Was that a moan coming from Arrain? Yes!
Oh, such sounds, like he was enjoying Nick’s hands on him. Nick certainly
relished using his hands. And his fingers. There. His opening. Can he push inside?
Just a little?
“What are you
doing?” Arrain’s voice was raspy as he pulled out of the kiss.
“Investigating.”
Nick wished he had lube here, condoms. Damn. He hadn’t been with anyone in so
long that he no longer bothered to carry any with him.
Arrain looked down
on Nick. “You want to begin the pairing?”
Nick choked back a laugh. “Wow. A true
romantic.” Nick pushed his finger deeper. There, That ought to put the man's mind back on the right things.
But instead, Arrain chuckled.
Nick grunted. “Geez.
You’re laughing. Also not the reaction I was going for.”
Arrain made a
quick movement back which dislodged Nick’s finger. But what Arrain did next
made Nick forget all about it. Arrain dropped to his knees and started to undo
Nick’s pants. But, damn. He hadn’t showered and he really needed to. He stopped
Arrain’s hands and stepped back.
“Wait, big guy. I
need a shower first then we can play all we want.”
“No problem. I’ll
help. It’ll go faster.”
It was Nick’s turn
to chuckle as he finished with the pants button and fly. “I doubt that.”
“Okay. Let me
change that statement. We’ll both come
faster.”
“That what this
pairing thing is, then? Slam, bam?” Nick stepped out of his filthy jeans,
Arrain making it nearly impossible by stepping closer to start unbuttoning his
shirt. Once again his heady, very aroused, male scent driving Nick crazy.
“Well, this first
time certainly will be for me. I’m so fucking hot, Nick. Seeing this body
constantly, smelling you, wanting desperately to touch you all the time. I know
I will not be able to hold out for long.”
Well, Nick had to
admit, probably longer then he would.
And, yeah. The man
was fucking hot.
Finally naked Nick
suddenly felt self-conscience about his older, skinnier body. His skin wasn’t
tight anymore, he was pale everywhere, there were spots and scars. Nearly
hairless except for his groin area, Nick was mortified when he saw all the gray
mixed in with the black pubic hair. When the fuck had he turned old there?
Shit. His heart beating wildly he turned away, except now he was exposing his
probably saggy old ass to the man of his dreams. His young dreams. Damn it.

The Door Keeper
The Door Keeper
Due out May 26, 2015.
Okay, the cover is not really the cover. Just messing around with a picture I am using as a "holding cover". So, yeah, probably never be a cover artist. LOL! Anyway, below is a small unedited excerpt from this new book.
Excerpt:
“Hey! You there.
What do you think you’re doing mucking around in a police cordoned off area?”
Nick had the
pleasure of seeing the guy jerk up, surprised.
But he didn’t run.
Nick felt for his
gun as the guy slowly moved his hands away from his body in a show of
surrender. “I’m unarmed,” he called out then cocked his head. “Are you a cop?”
Nick stopped about
twelve feet from him. There was something about this shadow man, something
familiar. “Yeah. Who are you?”
“A friend.
I’m…investigating this murder as well. I’m also after the man who did this.”
“Man? You know
it’s a man and that it’s just one?”
The shadow man
hesitated. “Yes. To my knowledge, there is just one who has done this and it is
a man.”
“How do you know?”
“How do you not?”
The man lowered his hands. “I trust you are not going to shoot me.”
“Trust is a fickle
thing.” But Nick moved his hand away from his gun. “Step into the light.”
The man complied
and when he did Nick knew he had never seen a more beautiful man in his life.
Piercing blue eyes, curly blond hair, a heavy shadow of a darker blond beard
and mustache as if he hadn’t shaved in several days. His chest was broad, his
shoulders wide, the man had to stand at least six two which beat Nick’s five
nine all to hell. He had on a light blue button down under a brown jacket, the
sleeves rolled up, his blue tie hanging undone around his neck. His tight dark
jeans hugged every inch of him and did little to hide the man’s ample package.
Nick found himself wanting to palm that heat.
The other thing that
threw him completely for a loop was the fact this was the shadow man from his
fantasies. The pull had teased him when he spotted the man poking around in the
dark. But Nick thought it was simply because he indeed was in shadow. And even
though Nick had never actually seen the man who haunted his periphery he knew
this man was him. In the flesh! Nick
tried to speak but choked on his words so ended up having to try again.
He didn’t do much
better.
“I’m going to ask
you again, what are you doing here?” Raspy. Low. He sounded like an idiot as he
tried to think sport scores, Wendy in that tight red top she thought she looked
hot in, his mother, anything to keep
his tongue from hanging out like a dog. But it didn’t work.
He was suddenly
imagining the man naked.
Woof.
“I’m going to tell
you again.” The man took a couple steps closer. His voice going soft.
“Investigating a murder.” Did the man recognized Nick as well? Crap. He
actually wanted to be pushed up against the brick and let the big man have at
it.
“What department
are you from?” Nick’s voice was softer, too, but only because he was actually
trying to remember how to speak, trying desperately to keep his eyes up on the
beautiful man’s face and not let them descend down his tight body to take
another look at the bulge in the man’s pants. Was it a bulge or just the way
the man was built? Just how big was that thing and would it fit?
And just where the
fuck were these thoughts coming from?
Damn it! He wasn’t
some horny teenager! He was a mature, career minded man with purpose. Why was
he suddenly acting like he hadn’t been laid in years?
Well, he hadn’t,
but that was hardly the point. He was an adult! A detective on a murder case,
okay, several of them which only made what he was now obsessing about that much
worse. He was even older than this large gorgeous man, too, and that was what he needed to act like. The
older, wiser cop with authority over some random guy off the street. Even if
that guy was fucking hot and absolutely the guy of his dreams. Literally.
“You wouldn’t
believe me if I told you.” Two more steps. If Nick didn’t start backing off the
man would be right up in his face. He would be able to actually feel the man’s
heat. For real. Oh yes. Too bad there
had to be so many fucking layers of clothes between the skin to skin that Nick
truly needed right now. Nick couldn’t help but wonder how those arms would feel
around him, pulling him in for a deep hot kiss.
Kiss? Oh damn. He was in trouble.
“Try me,” Nick
croaked but he was actually thinking ‘do
me’. Crap he was losing it.
The man sighed.
Nick wasn’t sure why but even that sounded sexy. With two additional steps the
man was close enough that Nick could feel his breath. “I understand the victim
was without blood?” The man reached up and ran a long finger down Nick’s cheek
as he gazed at Nick’s lips. The beautiful man licked his own as Nick watched.
But the question did have the effect of
snapping Nick back to some semblance of control over his cock which had decided
it, too, wanted in on the action.
Control over his
cock? Who was he kidding?
But honestly, did
this guy really think Nick would be impressed that he knew the victim had no
blood? Anyone who read the paper this afternoon would have known that. He was
giving nothing of the investigation away by answering the question. “Yes.
You’re right.” The hell of it was, Nick knew he would have told the man even if he was giving something away.
“I see,” the man
whispered. “Any chance I can see the body?”
The warm hand now
cupped Nick’s cheek and Nick closed his eyes, leaning into it. See the body? What body? Mine?
